"Dear Parents, Staff, Students, and Community Members,
We recently took part in an online conversation about personalized learning for our students through ThoughtExchange. More than 1,000 people participated and provided us with valuable feedback. Your thoughts have been reviewed by me and by many members of my executive team and staff. We are now excited to share the results with you.
As you will see, the top priorities from you included the following: Differentiated Learning, Class Size and Assistance, and Individual Learning Styles. These priorities are an affirmation of what we have been working on throughout our district, and what we will use to continue to guide our personalized learning strategies. We all know that there are many different learning styles, and when teachers are enabled more time to spend with their students, it’s extremely beneficial for both teaching and learning. We are enthusiastically moving forward with more in-depth personalized learning to fulfill your priorities, and our purpose, to challenge and inspire students to make a positive and profound impact on their world.
Visit our results website to learn more about the top priorities in our schools, and see the other thoughts that resounded with people. You can also visit the “Personalized Learning” page on our website to learn more about our journey with personalized learning.
Thank you for contributing to this important conversation. Your participation in this process was invaluable."
Thank you once again for taking the time to share your valuable input with us. As you know, safety is our top priority. I’m proud to say that Niche recently ranked Arcadia Unified as the Safest School District in the Los Angeles Area. While we have made great strides in ensuring safe schools for our students and staff, we are constantly evaluating our safety protocols and procedures and always researching methods to improve. To read more about our safety procedures, please visit https://www.ausd.net/apps/pages/safetypreparedness for more information. This is our district, let’s work together to ensure everyone is as safe as possible. Please remember, “If you see something, say something.”
